I have been written to, by the SLC, demanding to know my current income situation as they have not been paid for a while as I am no longer an employee under PAYE system, nor am I self employed.
They requested I send them all current bank statements, savings, and any income statements.
What legal means do they have to obtain details other accounts not disclosed, such as sharedealing accounts, SB accounts, and possibly even bullion purchases where I have been made to provide my NI number (such as with ATS Bullion)?
Essentially, can I just provide them with a a single current account statement?
The accounts would show I have the means to pay the whole balance, which is the part that concerns me as they may insist on repying the entire balance.
P.s - I have never not paid anyone on time. But we live in a system which is designed by default to turn everyone into debt slaves, which taxes the s**t out of productivity, which is then used to socialise malinvestment losses made by the institutions. In these times, I reckon the wise thing to do is show as little assets on paper as possible if you can!
