Poll: EU remain or leave?

Thought it was about time we had a separate thread for discussing the UK EU referendum.

Personally I will be voting that we should leave. This film that Acton Boy posted in chat lays out the reasons to leave very clearly.

I have voted to leave.

The fear mongering retoric that the remain campaign have come out with is beyond comical.

Eg.....
To leave the EU will cause war.
No one will trade with us.
UK GDP will crash.
Sterling will drop badly.
Peoples income will drop.
etc, etc, etc.

Supprised that they haven't thought of claiming that leaving the EU will cause a biblical type plage of locusts followed by a great flood that will engulf the world and we should prepare by building an arc to carry the UK's animals in two by two plus other the general smiting.

It's all a bit reminiscent of the Scottish referendum , the fear card was their only weapon but it worked.
I'm an out, Bruxelles is an undemocratic dictatorship whereas Westminster is a democratic dictatorship.

I'd be amazed if anyone on here votes to stay in, we all know how this works against the people. There's an interesting fact in that movie, 20% of EU bureaucrats earn more than David Cameron, which incidentally is £147,000. That's 10,000 bureaucrats milking our EU contribution! The EU in it's original form was a good idea, but it was only supposed to be a trade agreement, never a political agreement. I vehemently oppose handing our sovereignty to any other country and the thought of loosing our armed forces to an EU Army, Navy and Air Force is reprehensible. We need to claw EVERYTHING back and get off this sinking ship.

My fear is most people are lazy and ignorant and are likely to vote for the last good argument they hear. The remain campaign undoubtedly have tricks up their sleeve much like they did in the general election. Don't vote for UKIP or you'll give Labour the vote. Politicians are cunning beyond belief, their job is to peddle half truths and deceit.

That was an excellent speech, I don't know how you could vote to stay in the EU after watching that.

Was asked today how I would vote, I won't be voting but if I did I said Out.
Apparently it's a major topic here amongst the brits and the guy said he hadn't met a single remain supporter.
Going by our poll I have to wonder why the remain are still favourites to win.
I still suspect the Scottish referendum was rigged, I suspect this one may be as well.

I have just received the following from OANDA:

During events such as the upcoming Brexit referendum, market movements can be significant leading to the potential for large profits, but also large losses. To help ensure our customers are more insulated from such movements, we will be temporarily lowering the maximum leverage available on GBP pairs to 20:1 after the market close on June 17, 2016. The affected pairs will return to prior leverage levels after the market close on June 24, 2016.

As a result of this change, you may need to close trades or add funds to your account or risk a possible margin closeout if you currently have an open GBP positions with higher levels of leverage and do not have enough funds in your account to cover the increased margin requirements. To determine the impact this change may have to your margin, you can use OANDA’s margin calculator.

Margin rates on pairs not containing GBP will not be affected.

If you have any questions, you can contact our Client Experience Team whenever markets are open.

Regards,
The OANDA Team

Hey, it's VB :D
Where the hell have you been?
Anyone would think farming was a 24/7 occupation! :lolno:

Here's a powerful piece of legislation that might become EU-wide, & you island dwellers might miss out on it if you exit:

http://www.algarvedailynews.com/news/90 ... ts-come-on

In an enlightened piece of legislation, as from June 1st the adverts on Portuguese TV stations must be at the same volume as the programme that the advertising break is interrupting.

The strategy of assuming everyone is stone-deaf when the adverts come on has long been criticised by viewers and consumer associations, who have filed thousands of complaints with Communications Regulator to no avail, until now.

The new regulation makes jacking up the volume of ads a serious offence, open to penalties of between €20,000 and €150,000.

Not much trust in our politicians, with Cameron being the most untrusted and Boris leading the way.

If the financial meltdown we all expect happens then tptb need to deflect blame away from the banks.
What could be better than Brexit?
That way the EU and the remainers can blame the democratic will of the British people and of course the knock on effects
could even spread across the Atlantic.
Job done.
