Some of my shares are doing well. St Andrews Gold was taken over by Kirkland Gold.

And Kirkland Gold has 7 Bagged since the takeover!

Cool. Two of mine have gone into the red lately, both Pretium and Sandstorm have taken a beating :(

I do get the feeling that things will look very different this time next though.

I've made a mistake.

Kirkland Lake also took over New Market Gold (and they took over Crocodile Gold).... so Kirkland Lake Gold is only a 3.5 bagger... But still good

I have Sand Storm. I'm only 7% down

I'm currently 3% down but they were nicely up 6 months ago, I like the long-term prospects of Sandstorm and the management.

The margin rates are changing on IG Index. This is probably a good time to review and close some of these positions. Others, I'll close on IG and re open in my ISA.

I'm getting rid of pine tree as soon as the market opens. I'm something like 110% down

I think I'm down around 97% on Pinetree but hold the shares within my ISA, so will hold them as they can't lose much more. Don't like the idea of using margin to buy things like that. When the gold bull breaks out of this longterm consolidation many of these minors will go up 1000%+ IMO. Only need one or two to more to cover the losses of a few. My top minor when I bought in 2009 went up 1250% over the next year and half, now feels much the same to me.

I’ve got loads of shares I’ve not listed in this thread. I’ve got around 80 in total and I'm down by a horrific amount.

Overall this 80% Club isn't that bad because Kirkland Lake and a few others are doing really well.

I'm going to keep holding.

I’ve moved Vast Resources from IG to ii and I will slowly move them all over.

Except Pinetree. I closed that yesterday, 110% loss

Yeah leverage can be a killer especially with junior miners which are heavily manipulated. You only have to look at the short interest to realise how much these minors are controlled. If things go how they did before, we should rapid gains starting again very soon IMO, which will more than make up the losses of a few. One ten bagger makes up for 9 losers, I have two almost wipeouts Pinetree and Medusa but the gains from the winners already covers them. Total portfolio is currently up around 50%.

I also feel that when the next financial crisis hits that certain leverage banks like IG could get into a lot of trouble. During the '08 crash many of the derivative products came unstuck as AIG melted down.

I hope you're correct on this.

They move really fast when they move. KEFI up 44% this morning. I'm using big moves as an opportunity to close orga at IG and reopen at ii.

I'm trying to work out why I sold Jaguar mining... No idea why.... I might buy it again.

I'm trying to pick another Kirkland Lake. Jaguar Mining looks a good candidate.

I'm doing it. I'm buying jaguar again. And I'm going to top up on Serabi and Orvana
